EXPANDING WITHOUT DILUTING////////////////////// LILIAN CHEE//////////////////

Lilian Chee is Assistant Professor of the Singapore NUS Department of Architecture. Her research areas include interiority and domesticity representation. One of her last works is 03-Flat, a documentary that describes the life of three women in Singapore Public Housing.

In the proposed fragment she criticizes the existing gap between designers and users, caused by the strict boundaries of the discipline, the gender representation in architecture, that may influence the focus of the profession and calls for a softer and extended – but not diluted – role of designer.
